Belarus’ Vice Speaker meets with Georgian President-elect

        Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Viktor Guminsky took part in the inauguration ceremony of newly-elected President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili in Tbilisi
    Viktor Guminsky met with Giorgi Margvelashvili and Speaker of the Georgian Parliament David Usupashvili. 
       “The parties discussed trade and economic cooperation of the two countries, parliamentary ties and collaboration within the framework of international parliamentary organizations,” the press service of the Belarusian parliament said.
The presidential election took place in Georgia on 27 October. Giorgi Margvelashvili supported by the ruling Georgian Dream coalition won over 60% of votes. His closest rival, David Bakradze, trailed over 20%. Nino Burjanadze, leader of the Democratic Movement - United Georgia party came third with over 10% of votes.
