Team Belarus have won four medals at the 2013 European Junior and U23 Weightlifting Championships which are underway in Estonia’s Tallinn.
       Two Belarusians made it to the pedestal on the fifth day of the competition. Piotr Asayonok, in the 77kg junior section, lifted 328kg to win silver. Russia’s Razmik Unanyan bagged gold here with 329kg.
In the U23 events, Belarus’ Irina Mishchuk (58kg) won silver after lifting 186kg. Russia triumphed here, too, after Nadezhda Lomova lifted 209kg.
        Earlier Belarus’ junior Yulia Ripinskaya became the champion of Europe after coming in first in the 48kg class with 156kg. In the U23 62kg event Belarus’ Stanislav Chadovich won the silver medal with 281kg.
2013 European Junior U23 Weightlifting Championships will conclude on 29 September.
