Kazakhstan seeks closer ties with Belarus’ construction companies, design institutes

Kazakhstan is interested in intensifying contacts with Belarusian construction companies and design institutes. The statement was made at the 10th session of the Belarus-Kazakhstan intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation held in Grodno by co-chair of the commission, Kazakhstan’s Emergencies Minister Vladimir Bozhko. According to him, Belarus and Kazakhstan are about to reach a new level of relations. At the first stage economic cooperation was in the forefront. The current situation, however, makes it necessary to create a mutually beneficial environment to promote investments, joint ventures and construction projects. Vladimir Bozhko said that Kazakhstan is interested in developing tight contacts with Belarusian construction companies and design institutes that boast significant expertise and knowledge. Kazakhstan is particularly interested in energy saving technologies, the field in which Belarus has made a big step forward. Atomic energy is also developing in Kazakhstan. During its construction Kazakhstan will study Belarusian experience, too. The country has plans to develop alternative energy inviting investors to build wind farms, another area in which Belarus has gained some experience, Vladimir Bozhko said. The Belarusian side has also been invited to attend a seminar in Kazakhstan in September to share experience in industrial construction and achievements in the field of energy efficient technologies.
