President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko does not mind private business being part of holding companies. Alexander Lukashenko made the statement at the session held to discuss the operation of the Council for Entrepreneurship Development in Belarus.
Deputy Chairman of the Council for Entrepreneurship Development, Director General of COOO Henkel Bautechnik Sergei Novitsky put forward several suggestions to improve manufacturing cooperation, subcontract system, state procurement procedures and human resources in the private sector.
The head of state emphasized that he is in favor of joint implementation of major projects by private companies and state-run enterprises. As for broader participation of domestic investors in new projects and privatization, Alexander Lukashenko noted that he totally supports it, however, everything should be fair and honest. The President emphasized that his decisions on business-related matters are solely based on the interests of the state and people. Alexander Lukashenko assured that the government will always be ready to uphold promising and interesting projects.
