The Belarusian civil engineering company Belzarubezhstroy intends to build a factory to make diesel engines in Ecuador, BelTA quotes company’s Director General Vitaly Bondarik. According to the source, the project has been initiated by ZAO Belzarubezhstroy. Within the next three years alone Ecuador’s transport industry will need over 30,000 worn-out diesel engines replaced. The final decision on building the factory will be made in August 2015.
      The Belarusian company may also take part in building a pharmaceutical complex Enfarma EP in the city of knowledge Yachay in Imbabura Province. The city is a unique institution that employs cutting-edge technologies to bolster the research potential of students, connect the education sector with science-intensive manufacturing for the sake of creating a new production sector of Ecuador.
