Mikhnevich: EEC Council will consider Belarus-Russia trade dispute on 10 December

The issue of Belarus’ food deliveries to the Russian market will be discussed at a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission on 10 December, Belarus First Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Mikhnevich told reporters after the meeting chaired by the President to discuss the measures to remove the ban on the import of Belarusian products to Russia and the transit of sanctioned goods, BelTA reports.
"This situation has strong emotional connotations, and we want to bring it back into a peaceful legal framework,” said Alexander Mikhnevich. “The matter is that there are certain basic principles in the Customs Union (which transforms into the Eurasian Economic Union), in the CIS, and finally the WTO, which must not be violated,” he noted.
