Senior executives of the International Telecommunication Union think highly of Belarus’ potential and efforts to promote information and communication technologies,  the Belarusian Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies told media following the visit of a Belarusian delegation led by First Deputy Communications and Information Technologies Minister Dmitry Shedko to the Republic of Korea. Cooperation prospects were discussed at the meeting with recently elected ITU Secretary-General Houlin Zhao. The Belarusian delegation also met with Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning of the Republic of Korea Choi Yanghee. Representatives of the Republic of Korea welcomed the dynamically developing cooperation with Belarus in areas like information technologies and electronic government. They particularly praised the great potential of Belarusian software engineers. They also expressed interest in expanding partner relations in the educational field.
