Belarusian MPs have ratified the agreement on the protection of classified information within the framework of the CIS.
     The agreement was signed in Minsk in October 2013. Chairman of the State Security Committee (KGB) of Belarus Valery Vakulchik noted that the document offers a clear-cut definition of the terms used in this international agreement, spells out cooperation forms, sets forth measures to protect classified information and contains the plan to implement these measures.
     The cooperation agreement in the field of classified information protection will be materialized by the agencies defined by each of the signatories.
     The MPs also ratified the protocol on introducing amendments to the agreement on mutual protection of classified information within the framework of the CSTO as of 18 June 2004. The amendments are designed to sort out issues related to the protection of classified information within the CSTO.
