The third round of consultations on the upgrade of the Belarus-EU relations has taken place in Brussels. Belarus’ delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Yelena Kupchina, we learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
The parties discussed cooperation prospects in transport, logistics, power engineering and environmental protection, management of water resources, waste recycling, preservation of biological diversity, improvement of radiological monitoring, development of energy and transport systems of Belarus, alternative energy sources, Belarus’ participation in thematic mechanisms and programs of the European Union.
The major goal of the consultations was to outline the best form of cooperation between Belarus and the European Union.
Yelena Kupchina met with European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Stefan Fule, Deputy Secretary General for the European External Action Service Helga Schmid and members of the European Parliament. The parties discussed cooperation prospects between Belarus and the European Union.
