Countries of the European Union will inspect the Belarusian army by 25 September in line with the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe Treaty, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
An inspection team from Spain will stay in Belarus till 25 September to examine one of the units of the Belarusian army. Five military inspectors from Spain as well as inspectors from Italy, Canada, Slovakia, and France (one from each country) are taking part in the inspection. They will verify the available number of the armaments and military hardware that the Treaty regulates for compliance with the declared numbers, said the source.
In turn, representatives of the Belarusian army are taking part in an inspection visit to an airbase and a military installation of the UK army. The visit has been organized for representatives of CSTO member states within the framework of the Vienna Document 2011.
