Belarus collects nine medals at Rhythmic World Cup in Kazan


       Belarus won nine medals at the Kazan Rhythmic World Cup in Russia. The Belarusian team claimed gold in the Three Balls/Two Ribbons event. Besides, the Belarusian team that comprised Anna Dudenkova, Maria Kotyak, Valeria Pishchelina, Arina Tsitsilina, Ksenia Cheldyshkina and Maria Kadobina clinched silver in the Five Clubs routine and in the All-Around event. As for individual performance, Melitina Staniouta won five out of six medals claimed by Belarus. The leader of the Belarusian national team was second best in the Clubs and the Ribbon events and third in the Ball, Hoop and the All-Around routines. Yekaterina Galkina clinched bronze medals in the Ribbon and Clubs events. She was also close to medal winning in the Ball and All-Around routines finishing fourth. Current Rhythmic World champion Yana Kudryavtseva of Russia won the Kazan World Cup posting the highest All-around score in World Cup competition this season. She also won in the Ball, Clubs, and Ribbon events and collected silver in the Hoop routine. Her teammate Margarita Mamun bagged gold in the Hoop event and was second best in the All-around. The 2014 FIG World Cup All-around title was won by Yana Kudryavtseva (140 points).
      The second was Margarita Mamun with 130 points. Melitina Staniouta is third with 100 points. In group competitions the leading Bulgaria is followed by Russia and Azerbaijan. Belarus finished eighth in this season.
