Darina Kostyuchenko and Kamilla Bobr of Belarus took silver at the C2 Women’s 500m event of the ICF World Sprint Canoe Championship 2014 at the Olympic rowing canal Krylatskoye in Moscow. Olympic champions Roman Petrushenko and Vadim Makhnev clinched bronze at the K2 Men’s 500m. Slovakia won the race with Hungary going second. Bronze also went to Margarita Tishkevich and Marina Litvinchuk at K2 Women’s 200m. The Hungarian duet won the race. Second was Germany. Marina Litvinchuk also added silver to her country’s collection at the K1 Women’s 5,000m. As reported earlier, the first final session brought the Belarusian athletes two silver and one bronze. The world vice champion title went to K2 crew of Sofia Yurchenko and Alexandra Grishina at the Women’s 1000m event. The K4 crew of Margarita Tishkevich, Nadezhda Lepeshko, Olga Khudenko and Marina Litvinchuk collected bronze at the Women’s 500m race. Bronze also went to the C4 crew of Dmitry Ryabchenko, Denis Garazha, Dmitry Voitishkin, Alexander Volchetsky at the Men’s 1000m event.
