The modern Iranian art is on show in Minsk. The exhibition at the Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery welcomed its first guests, BelTA reports. The exposition combines traditional forms of popular art and modern trends in fine arts. The project features miniatures, calligraphy samples, ceramics, carved wood, art glass, carpets, decorative crockery, books. The works of outstanding Iranian artist and miniaturist Behzad Bozorgi make up the main part of the exhibition. His paintings are widely known on his native land, Qatar, Thailand, the United States, Russia and the Philippines. The expo in Minsk also exhibits the works of Mahmoud Farshchian. His paintings depict plots from classical poetry and literature, the Quran, Christian and Judaic sacred writings. The exposition also features a collection of photos from the project Iran through the eyes of Belarusian students. The pictures were taken by students that study Iranian at the cultural center of the Iranian embassy.
The exhibition, organized by the cultural center of the Iranian embassy in Belarus, will run through 24 August.
