Member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization are encouraged to transfer contracts from Ukrainian defense industry enterprises to their own enterprises. CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha made the statement at the recent meeting of speaker of the State Duma of Russia Sergei Naryshkin with heads of the delegations of the parliaments of the CSTO member states in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, BelTA reports. Speaking about the decisions made at a recent session of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council, during which recommendations were worked out to beef up the power component of the organization, Nikolai Bordyuzha said: “It has been suggested that joint measures should be taken for the CSTO member states to start making the components of weaponry and military hardware that Ukrainian defense industry enterprises used to make”.
