Conchita Wurst from Austria won the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, which final took place in the capital of Denmark.
The Austrian singer scored 290 points. Second place went to the Netherlands (The Common Linnets with the song Calm After the Storm). Sanna Nielsen (Undo) from Sweden finished third.
Belarus’ entry Teo with his song Cheesecake took the 16th place.
Belarus, in its 11th time in the Eurovision Song Contest, reached the final for the fourth time. Belarusian singer Dmitry Koldun owns the country’s all-time record at the contest, finishing 6th with his song Work Your Magic in 2007. Belarus’ 3+2 band (Butterflies) was 24th in 2010. Alyona Lanskaya improved the country’s position last year, recording 16th place with her song Solayoh.
