Lukashenko, Putin satisfied with realization of Union State plans in economy

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin are satisfied with the realization of Union State plans concerning economy. The relevant statement was made after negotiations held in Moscow on 13 March, BelTA has learned.

One of the reporters drew attention to Belarus-Russia economic integration, progress in fulfilling 28 Union State programs, and progress in implementing plans for 2024-2026.

Vladimir Putin stated: “All the 28 programs have been fulfilled by 100%. What we intended to accomplish in 2024-2026 has been fulfilled by over 26%. I am personally satisfied with how this work proceeds. The governments are working very hard, intensively, and productively.”

He remarked that from time to time he and the Belarus president have to get involved in the process in order to address individual discrepancies between different agencies. It happens routinely and compromise solutions are worked out without a fault.

“I can add nothing to it. I am very glad that Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin] is satisfied with the realization of these programs. We have made a clear technological agreement: if the governments cannot work out [a solution] at their own level, they are free to submit the problem to us. We had 2-3 issues like that during today’s negotiations. We addressed them. The governments are working. This is why I am satisfied with this progress,” Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said about the matter.
