Arab League seeks to develop dialogue with Belarus

Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik has held a meeting with head of the Arab League Mission in Russia Walid Shiltag, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of interaction between Belarus and the League and Arab States. “Aleksandr Rogozhnik confirmed the relevance of the invitation sent earlier to the secretary general of the League of Arab States to visit Belarus,” the press service said.

The ambassador also emphasized the importance of developing a dialogue with the Arab League in general and also with its member countries. In his words, Belarus is ready to share its best practices in agriculture. This is especially relevant today in terms of ensuring food security. Interaction in education has been identified as another important aspect of cooperation.

“Walid Shiltag reaffirmed the Arab League’s focus on the development of constructive dialogue with Belarus both in the mentioned areas and also in other areas of mutual interest,” the press service added.
