Sabalenka captures Cincinnati title

Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus captured her second title of the year after defeating No.6 Jessica Pegula of the United States, 6-3, 7-5 in the Cincinnati Open final, BelTA has learned.

On her way to the final Aryna Sabalenka beat world number 66 Elisabetta Cocciaretto of Italy, 6-3, 6-4, Ukraine’s world number 30 Elina Svitolina, 7-5, 6-2, Russia’s world number 17 Liudmila Samsonova, 6-3, 6-2, and world number one Iga Swiatek of Poland, 6-3, 6-3.
