Sabalenka, Djokovic claim ITF world champion awards

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has named the best players of 2023, BelTA has learned.

Aryna Sabalenka has been named women's ITF World Champion for the first time. This year she won her first Grand Slam singles title at the Australian Open, reached the US Open final and also the Roland Garros and Wimbledon semifinals. In September Aryna Sabalenka reached World No.1 for the first time and is completing the year on the WTA second spot.

Serbia's Novak Djokovic has been named men's ITF World Champion for a record-extending eighth time.
