Eight countries (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Georgia, Germany and Montenegro) signed the charter on cooperation in line with the partnership program Green Bridge in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The Charter was signed following the international conference held in the Kazakh capital to discuss the Green Bridge partnership program and the international specialized exhibition Astana EXPO 2017.
Taking part in the conference were heads of environmental authorities of the EU, Central Asia and other neighboring states, representatives of international organizations and private companies, Kazakhstan’s government agencies and international experts in clean energy and “green” growth.
Conference participants talked over the matters relating to “green” modernization, namely sustainable management of water and other natural resources, the development of other renewable energy sources, agriculture and climate change.
