Armenia expects a boost in economic cooperation upon its accession to the Customs Union

Upon its accession to the Customs Union Armenia expects a substantial increase in trade and economic cooperation. Armenia’s Ambassador to our country Armen Khachatryan stressed that Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Armenia have long-standing economic relations that will eventually grow stronger. The diplomat described for us some of the most promising projects implemented by our countries:
“We have launched a project in nuclear energy. This is a brand new area of our cooperation. We also cooperate in IT, which is a very rapidly developing industry today. I believe that there are great possibilities for us in this particular sphere.A Belarusian delegation recently visited Armenia and its members saw for themselves the high quality of Armenian fruit and vegetables. So another obvious step would be to export some of the Armenian foods to Belarus.”
