The financial police of Belarus is initiating joint measures to fight false entrepreneurship, criminal bankruptcy, and failures to return foreign currency earnings in the Commonwealth of Independent States. The information was released by Igor Marshalov, Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee of Belarus, Director of the Financial Investigations Department, at the session of the Coordinating Council of heads of tax investigation bodies of the CIS states. The session discussed ways to combat corruption, failures to return forex earnings, false entrepreneurship, and criminal bankruptcy. They had been put on the agenda upon the relevant proposal of the Belarusian side. Apart from that, the Council is expected to discuss cooperation of the CIS states in fighting economic crimes, with members of the Council sharing information. Unifying existing laws of the CIS states on fighting such crimes is the idea. Resolutions of the Council on the discussed matters has been signed. Igor Marshalov underlined that it was the third time that the Council had discussed false entrepreneurship matters. Several joint actions have been carried out to fulfill the adopted resolutions. “Our cooperation is organized in a rather productive manner,” believes Igor Marshalov.
