Belarus Premier called upon local authorities to work harder with the private business

Belarus Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich called upon local authorities to work harder with the private business in the production industry. The PM made this statement as he heard out Minsk region import substitution report.

The Prime Minister noted that once the country embarked on the development of the market economy, priority was given to trade and agency business. “We left behind material production and services,” he added. The private business that develops in the sector has the most flexible forms. It is fast in manufacturing diversification while its qualified staff is well adapted to the changes on the market. “The existing problems cannot be addressed without close cooperation with private businessmen today,” the PM stressed. All local authorities should be involved in the work. Private businessmen can be attracted to the projects by various preferences. “We should move towards the creation of new companies in the manufacturing and service sectors,” he said.
