The International Congress of Slavists boasts a very high level of organization.

The opinion was voiced by academician of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts Milan Gurcinov. “It is evident that the staff of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus did a great job. I think that the 15th International Congress of Slavists will become one of the best organized congresses on record,” Milan Gurcinov said. Milan Gurcinov noted that a year earlier he visited Belarus as part of the International Committee of Slavists and met the best Belarusian experts in literature. “They gave me an idea that I laid down in my report on Belarusian literature of the 20th century and Macedonian literature of the mid-20th century. My report covers your modernists such as Maksim Bogdanovich and our modernists who did not know each other but expressed the same ideas. I made a conclusion that such small Slavic peoples like ours have much in common,” Milan Gurcinov noted. The International Congress of Slavists is a major scientific forum dedicated to the problems of the development of Slavonic languages, literatures and cultures. It has been held every five years since 1929. The 15th Congress is taking place in Belarus. It has gathered over 600 scientists from 35 countries, including Austria, Australia, Belgium, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Israel, Italy, Spain, Canada, Lithuania, Russia, France, Switzerland, and Japan.
