Belarus’ handball team Dinamo Minsk overpowered Russia’s club Chekhovskie Medvedi in the second friendly game.
Dinamo Minsk ended the match at the National Olympic Reserve Center with a 35:27 (17:13) victory. Denis Rutenko led the way with 12 goals. In the first friendly the Russian side were stronger 31:27.
On 11 August Dinamo Minsk will play their next pre-season match against the Ukrainian side HC ZTR from Zaporozye in the Belarusian capital. After this match Slovenia’s head coach Boris Denic’s Dinamo depart for France and Germany to partake in several tournaments. After this they will travel to Slovakia’s Presov to play in the EHF Champions League qualifying tournament. On 31 August the Minsk club are set to play against AEK from Athens, Greece. If Dinamo win this game, they will pave the way for the next match against the winner of the Tartan Presov (Slovakia) vs. Besiktas (Turkey) tie. Last season HC Dinamo Minsk managed to advance to the last 16 round of the EHF Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
