Young scientists of Belarus, China actively involved in joint innovation projects

     Young scientists from Belarus and China are actively involved in joint innovation projects, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus Aleksandr Shumilin said at the opening ceremony of the 7^th Belarusian-Chinese Youth Innovation Forum “New Horizons - 2020”, BelTA learned from the press service of the organization. According to him, the number of joint Belarusian-Chinese projects in 2019-2020 increased by a quarter compared to the previous two-year cycle. Their topics have become more diverse. The existing projects cover such areas as electronics and information and communication technologies, materials science, mechanics and engineering, energy efficiency and energy saving, transport systems, metallurgy, biotechnology, chemistry and agricultural technologies. The chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology stressed that the joint projects implemented earlier had brought practical results. For example, highly efficient equipment and technological processes developed jointly with Harbin Polytechnic University are used in the Scientific and Technological Park of Polytechnic and in Polymedtech in the manufacture of medical devices for traumatology, orthopedics, cardiology, vascular surgery and dentistry. As a result of a joint project of BNTU Technopark Polytechnic and Lanzhou Technological University, schemes and modes of cold supersonic sputtering with maximum technical and economic performance have been developed. They are used to execute orders of industrial enterprises of Belarus.
