Drozdovskaya retains first place in ISAF Laser Radial ranking

        Leader of the Belarusian national yachting team Tatiana Drozdovskaya has retained the first position in the April Laser Radial ranking issued by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF). The Laser Radial yachting competitions are included in the Olympic program. Drozdovskaya has scored 886 points and tops the ranking table with Canada’s Isabella Bertold who is second with 795 points. Great Britain’s Alison Young (737) is third. As many as 449 yachtswomen are listed in the rankings. From 22 to 27 April Tatiana Drozdovskaya partook in the fourth yachting World Cup in France’s Hyeres. After nine races the Belarusian came in ninth. On the men’s side Belarus’ Nikolai Zhukovets competed in the RS:X class and after seven races was 29th out of 59 participants. In the RS:X ranking Nikolai Zhukovets is 49th out of 167 sportsmen. The Belarusian has earned 196 points.
On 8 April Tatiana Drozdovskaya came on top the ISAF Laser Radial ranking for the first time in the history of the Belarusian yachting sport.
