Belarusian delegation takes part in East Forum Berlin 2013

A Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Yelena Kupchina takes part in the international conference East Forum Berlin 2013.

The forum will discuss the influence of the European Union debt crisis on economies of the European Union’s eastern neighbors, prospects of free trade zones, chances and risks involved in the possible creation of a common economic space from Lisbon to Vladivostok.

The event has gathered members of the governments of Central and Eastern Europe countries, the political leadership of Germany, representatives of the European Commission and top managers of major German companies and concerns.

The head of the Belarusian delegation will take part in the panel discussion “The European Union, the Eastern Partnership Initiative, the Eurasian Union – challenges and capabilities of agreements on free trade and economic harmonization”.

While in Berlin members of the Belarusian delegation are expected to meet with representatives of the German Foreign Ministry and the Economy and Technology Ministry, the German Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and with members of the German parliament.
