Moscow hosts session of Economic Affairs Commission under CIS Economic Council

      A regular session of the Economic Affairs Commission under the CIS Economic Council took place in Moscow. It was chaired by Mr Igor Petrishenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia, Plenipotentiary Representative of Belarus in the CIS Economic Council, special representative for integration cooperation in the CIS.
     The session tabled matters concerning the progress in implementing the CIS interstate radio navigation program till 2012, the preparation of the draft concept for forming and developing an interstate system for training and retraining personnel in the sphere of scientific and technical information. Participants of the event discussed making the federal state autonomous institution Training Center of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation the basic organization of the CIS states for career enhancement and retraining of personnel in the sphere of antimonopoly regulations and the competition policy. The sides also discussed other matters pertaining to cooperation in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
