Belarus plans $1 billion annual trade with India in 2015

       In 2015 Belarus plans to reach $1 billion in annual trade with India, Belarus Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with the Indian business circles in the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 24 December.
       Partaking in the meeting were representatives of more than 10 Indian companies. “We set forth a task to reach $1 billion annual trade with India in 2015. I believe the potential Belarus and India have in the economic, cultural and humanitarian areas is huge,” the Premier said. In particular, the two countries are mulling over joint projects in industry, energy, pharmaceutics and IT. According to Mr Myasnikovich, there is every reason to believe that the contract on potash fertilizers will be signed in January.
Mikhail Myasnikovich stressed:

     The year 2013 would be marked for Belarus as a period of strong state support of exports and development of joint companies. We will continue creating favorable conditions for drawing credit resources to lower the interest rate and make funds more available for companies. And I believe it will be interesting for our Indian partners to work under Decree No.6 which envisages unprecedented preferential terms to run a production business in small towns.
      It will benefit Indian companies to gain a solid footing on the Belarusian market to have an opportunity to work in the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan as well as with the European Union member states. Building up your presence on the Belarusian market you will be able to start up much easier into Europe, Kazakhstan and Russia. In turn, the Belarusian government together with the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will create all necessary conditions for it.
