Belarus number one Victoria Azarenka, ranked 8th in the world, grabbed her second win at the Miami Open to reach the tournament’s round of last 16. The Belarusian took a solid, 6-3, 6-0, victory over Polish world number 110 Magda Linette in 70 minutes. Victoria Azarenka opened the tournament in the United States from the second round where she proved too strong for World No.67 Monica Puig, 6-2, 6-4.
Azarenka will next play Spain’s Gabrine Muguruza (World No.4) in a bid to reach the quarterfinal. The Belarusian won the Miami Open twice, in 2009 (beating Serena Williams in the final) and in 2011 (defeating Maria Sharapova).
