Lukashenko supports Bashar Assad’s fight against terrorism in Syria

       A Belarusian delegation led by First Secretary of the Communist Party of Belarus Igor Karpenko conveyed Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko’s words of support to Syrian President Bashar Assad at a meeting in Damascus, the Embassy of Belarus to Syria reported. The parties discussed the development of the military and political situation, the prospects for regulating the conflict in Syria. The parties also talked over political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation between the two states. As was informed, earlier a stadium and a children's playground which were built with the support of Belarus' Embassy and Belarus' Honorary Consul in Syria Wael Batal were opened in one of the villages in Syria.
