Dinamo Minsk extend winning streak to three in EHF Champions League

         Dinamo Minsk were off to a good start at VELUX EHF Champions League Round 2. The Belarusians took a solid 33:28 win over Kadetten Schaffhausen in Switzerland.
The guests held the game under full control with top scorers Maxim Babichev (6 points) and Vasko Sevaljevic (6 points). It was the third victory for Sergei Bebeshko’s team in Group D. In the previous encounters the Belarusians defeated Hungary’s Pick Szeged 29:24, tied with Croatia Osiguranje Zagreb 27:27, defeated Kadetten Schaffhausen 33:23 and lost to Fuchse Berlin 25:29 and Barcelona Intersport 24:25.
       Group D standings: FC Barcelona– 10 points (5 played); Fuchse Berlin – 8 (5); HC Dinamo Minsk – 7 (6); RK Zagreb – 3 (5); SC Pick Szeged – 2 (5); Kadetten Schaffhausen – 2 (6).
The Minsk team’s next matches include Fuchse Berlin on 2 December, Croatia Osiguranje Zagreb on 9 February, Pick Szeged on 16 February and Barcelona Intersport on 21 February. Four best teams from every group reach the Champions League playoffs. Belarus has been completing for the EHF Champions League trophy for the second time. Sergei Bebeshko’s men did not reach the postseason two years.
