China attaches great importance to the establishment of joint techno parks with Belarus, Mr Qian Naicheng, deputy head, East European and Central Asian Affairs Bureau, International Department, CPC Central Committee, said as he met with Belarusian journalists.
Techno parks projects will contribute to the interaction between the two countries, he said. The Chinese official also stressed that these projects in China are carried out in accordance with the strict environmental standards. Techno parks in China are a symbol of environmentally friendly construction, said Mr Qian Naicheng.
When talking about the prospects of new joint projects with Belarus, Mr Qian Naicheng said that the people of the two countries need to learn more about each other. In his view, the media can contribute to more active development of the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation, acquaintance with culture, history and traditions of the two countries.
As an example of how effective information projects can be, Mr Qian Naicheng cited the book "China through the Eyes of the Belarusians", which was published this year in Minsk on the initiative and support of the China Foundation for International Studies edited by Vice Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Tozik.
