Kazakhstan can take part in privatization of OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno

             Kazakhstan can take part in privatization of OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno, director general of the company Sergei Puzevich told the media in Astana.
In May this year, a memorandum on cooperation was signed by Belneftekhim Concern with the Kazakh partners. “We invited the Kazakh side to take part in the construction of the unit for manufacture of terephthalic acid (TPA) at OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno. They showed interest in not only the processing of paraxylene but in further processing, i.e. manufacture of fibers and yarns,” said Sergei Puzevich.
A working group has been set up to evaluate the project. It is expected that by the end of the year it will be decided in what way Kazakhstan will be able to participate in this project, whether this will be a joint venture or privatization. “Today we see Kazakhstan's interest in the project, including in privatization,” said Sergei Puzevich.
