More Russian companies accept Belarusian rubles in Belarus-Russia trade

       Russian companies more often accept Belarusian rubles as payment for supplying their products to Belarus, Alexander Olshevsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the joint venture Eurasian Engineering Company, Director General of the joint venture Rosbelmarketingtsentr pointed out during the video briefing hosted by the website of the National Press Center of Belarus. “It is a very serious thing for interests of the Eurasian union. Only if the Russian private sector is fully confident that Belarus is going to continue buying in a long term, then Russian businesses are willing to go ahead with these transactions,” said Alexander Olshevsky. The expert pointed out that when joint ventures have to be set up, Russian business partners now more readily agree to register the ventures in Belarus.
      “The level of understanding of the situation in Belarus and the trust in the legal environment have risen considerably,” noted the executive. Belarus is considered a promising market to sell Russian goods and services. The mechanisms laid down by the Customs Union have started operating.
