Belarus’ Sergei Kostitsyn, Nick Bailen to play in KHL’s All-Star Game


     Belarusian forward of Ak Bars Kazan Sergei Kostitsyn and Dinamo Minsk defenseman Nick Bailen have been voted to the starting lines of the KHL’s All-Star Game which is due in January 2015.
The fan vote for the KHL’s All-Star Game first lines has completed with Dinamo Minsk defenseman Nick Bailen with the Belarusian citizenship getting into Team West.
     This season the defenseman has scored 22 (9+13) points in 36 games for the Belarusian Bisons. He is the team’s leader in ice time with 26.16 minutes per game on average.
     Forward of the Belarusian national team Sergei Kostitsyn, currently playing for Ak Bars Kazan, has been voted to Team East. The player has collected 19 (5+14) points in 28 games for Tatarstan’s team.
The Kontinental Hockey League has announced the first lines of the forthcoming All-Star Game. Among vote-getters were also Dinamo Minsk forward Jonathan Cheechoo, Ak Bars defenseman Vladimir Denisov and CSKA Moscow goalie Kevin Lalande with the Belarusian passport. They can get a chance to play in the All-Star Game once the voting among journalists and specialists completes.
The KHL’s All-Star Game will be played at Sochi’s Bolshoy Ice Palace on 25 January.
