Belarus’ entry at Junior Eurovision 2014 holds first rehearsal (+ VIDEO)

The Belarusian Sokal (Falcon) made its debut flight over the stage of the 2014 Junior Eurovision as Belarus’ entry Nadezhda Misyakova had her first rehearsal at Malta Shipbuilding, BelTA has learned.

Nadezhda Misyakova will open the contest on 15 November as she took out the first number at the draw ceremony. Singers from 16 countries will perform at the children’s version of the Eurovision Song Contest in Malta that will host the competition for the first time. The final show will take place on 15 November. 

The show will be broadcast live on Belarus 1 TV channel and the international satellite channel Belarus 24. Belarus’ points to Eurovision 2014 entries will be announced by 11-year-old Minsk resident Yekaterina Taperkina. 

Junior Eurovision Song Contest is an international annual song competition. Participants of the contest are young singers aged 10 to 15, representatives of the European Broadcasting Union member states. Belarus made its debut in the contest in 2003. In 2005 the competition was won by Kseniya Sitnik with her song My Vmeste (We are Together). Alexei Zhigalkovich (With Friends) took the Junior Eurovision title in 2007.
