"Belarusfilm" won 18 awards at the VIII Republican Festival of Belarusian films

       National Film Studio "Belarusfilm" won 18 awards at the VIII Republican Festival of Belarusian films, which was held in Brest,  director general of "Belarusfilm" Oleg Silvanovich said.
The main prize - the Grand Prix of the Forum – went to a documentary "Drisvyaty. Song and Destiny" by Mikhail Zhdanov.
     The prize for the best feature film went to "The Lonely Island" by Peeter Simm (Belarus - Estonia - Latvia). Best television feature film was "All we need to ..." by Ivan Pavlov. Best Animated Film - "The Fourth Orange. Prokofiev" by Yulia Titova. The prize for best director went to Alexander Efremov (for his film "A German").
      The Republican Festival of Belarusian films is held in Brest every two years since 1997. Its goal is the development of national cinematography, promotion of the best works of Belarusian cinema, support of progressive and creative ideas.
      The forum was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Belarus, Brest Regional Executive Committee, BTRC, "Belarusfilm", Belarusian Video Centre and the Belarusian Union of Cinematographers.
