The European Commission was preparing in advance to declare that Belarus' election is a sham, Detlef Bauer, an international observer, a member of the Alternative for Germany political party, said on the air of the STV TV channel, BelTA reports.

“I have read and heard a lot about the 2020 presidential election in Belarus. Even then, the West, Western parties and the European Commission kept insisting that the election was wrong, that they would not recognize President Lukashenko. And this year, the European Commission was getting ready in advance to declare that this election is a sham, that the choice of Belarusians is wrong and that they will not recognize Aleksandr Lukashenko as president if he wins the election. But this has nothing to do with democracy, nothing at all,” the observer believes.

Member of the Revival political party from Bulgaria, member of the Bulgarian parliament, independent international observer Krastyo Vrachev noted: “They say that there is a dictatorship here, but I don't think so. The reality in Belarus is completely different. People are calm and communicate with ease, in Europe this is not at all the case.”
