Lukashenko sends National Day greetings to Cuba

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greetings to Cuban President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez as the country celebrates the National Rebellion Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“This event marked the start of Cuba's journey towards building a welfare state that pursues an honest domestic and foreign policy,” the congratulatory message reads.

For Belarus, Cuba is one of the most important partners and friends in the Western hemisphere, the president pointed out.

“I am convinced that we need not only to expand our traditional cooperation in trade but also to find new forms of interaction. The establishment of joint ventures to manufacture whole milk products, medicines and tractors will open a brand new chapter in our economic relations,” the head of state emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez good health, inexhaustible energy and success in all his endeavors, and the brotherly Cuban people peace and prosperity.
