Belarus expects sixth tranche of EurAsEC Anticrisis Fund loan on time

Belarus intends to get the sixth $440 million tranche of the loan from the EurAsEC Anticrisis Fund in due time, Chairperson of the Board of the Belarusian National Bank Nadezhda Yermakova said during an online conference.  Belarus intends to get the last tranche of the loan from the EurAsEC Anticrisis Fund by the end of 2013. The increase in bank lending to the economy, which is one of the most important figures reflecting the state of the country’s monetary policy, has been chosen as the trigger figure for the decision to give the sixth tranche of the loan to Belarus or not. “However, the decision on the allocation of the EurAsEC Anticrisis Fund loan to the Republic of Belarus will hinge on the fulfillment of a number of controlling and indicative figures in the monetary and budgetary areas and in the field of taxation. It will also depend on the government and the National Bank’s measures aimed to preserve macroeconomic stability in the country,” Nadezhda Yermakova noted.
“Currently Belarus meets most of the requirements laid down by the EurAsEC Anticrisis Fund. All actions of the government and the National Bank are designed to preserve the stable situation in the economy, on the currency market and in monetary management. This gives us grounds to expect the sixth tranche of the Anticrisis Fund loan in due time,” Nadezhda Yermakova underlined.
