Belarus and India have the potential for large-scale investment cooperation, Belarus Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with representatives of India’s Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited.
The company is involved in the project to reconstruct Grodno CHPP-2 and supplies the main equipment for Grodnoenergo. BHEL has also applied for a tender for the supply of equipment for photovoltaic power plants of Belorusneft.
The main theme of the talks was the implementation of the joint project which is very important in the Belarusian-Indian relations. " We discussed our cooperation in great detail with the Ambassador of India. We made the fundamental political and economic decision that will enable our countries to achieve a truly large-scale cooperation, investment cooperation in the first place,” said Mikhail Myasnikovich.
As noted by the Belarusian head of government, the parties do not rule out implementing other projects.
