Belarusian Potash Company’s distribution chain back on feet within three months

It will take from one to three months depending on local conditions to restore the chain used to distribute Belarus-made potash fertilizers abroad up to the levels registered before Uralkali announced its decision to stop selling via ZAO Belarusian Potash Company, we learned from OAO Belaruskali Director General Valery Kiriyenko.
How fast Belarusian Potash Company opens its offices as the trading agent of solely Belaruskali will depend on red-tape levels in a specific country. In his words, despite the decision to stop selling merchandise via BPC, Uralkali is still a shareholder and actually has to honor the financial obligations involved in running the company.
Speaking about Belaruskali’s financial obligations before the Russian side, the Director General said that the Belarusian company will continue paying out the $1 billion export loan that had been refinanced by Russian Sberbank. Valery Kiriyenko also noted that the Belarus government and the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim are busy working out measures to reduce the tax burden on the company for the duration of the recovery period.
