A presentation of Belarusian tourism business will be held for the first time at the international exhibition IFTM Top Resa in Paris on 24-27 September, we learnt from Yekaterina Lipen, the head of the marketing department of the National Tourism Agency.
Attending the exhibition will be representatives of tourism complexes, including Mir and Nesvizh Castles, the information and tourism center Minsk and organizations from Vitebsk Oblast. The Belarusian Embassy in France will provide its assistance in organizing the Belarusian national booth.
According to Yekaterina Lipen, the French side expresses considerable interest in hunting tours in Belarus. “Hunting tourism is quite a promising area for our country despite the fact that it is a fairly small segment in the tourism market,” she added.
Representatives of the Belarusian tourism companies would like to establish new contacts with sports organizations. During the exhibition Belarusian and French partners will discuss the signing of an agreement to sell 2014 IIHF World Championship tourism packages to French tour operators. Belarus will also present its capabilities in cultural and educational tourism.
