Belarus, Kazakhstan launch joint undergraduate program in economics

 

The Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and the Kazakh University of Economics, Finance and International Trade will jointly train undergraduates in economic specialties. The program was launched during an online meeting of the two universities, BelTA learned from the press service of the Kupala university. The program will be based on "1+1” training scheme. Undergraduates from Kazakhstan will attend the Kupala university in the second semester of the new academic year. In the first semester they will study at the Kazakh University of Economics, Finance and International Trade.

 

"Our universities have been cooperating for more than five years. But this joint educational program has become a pilot project for us," said Marina Karpitskaya, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. The program is extensive, she stressed. Joint training of undergraduates in economic specialties will be practice-oriented, geared towards the needs of the digital economy. Many disciplines will be taught in the IT laboratories of the Kupala university. Representatives of Grodno enterprises who have their personnel trained at the university will be involved in the educational process. The joint educational program will involve more than 20 undergraduates from Kazakhstan.
