Belarus and Moldova are set to implement a joint project in winemaking, Sergiu Harea, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova, said during an online meeting "Belarus - Moldova: New stages of economic cooperation”, BelTA has learned. "We will help companies from Moldova and Belarus in this sector. We are planning deliveries to third markets with the help of Italy and Spain, European chamber. This project is an opportunity to support our entrepreneurs," Sergiu Harea said. Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich noted that as part the project Belarus will study the experience of winemaking in Moldova and develop a domestic winemaking industry. "It may sound unusual, but it's relevant and important," he added. The agenda of the online meeting also included the bilateral trade and economic cooperation in the context of modern challenges, new formats of work and business support mechanisms, successful joint business projects, and prospects for advancing cooperation between the business circles of the two countries in the agricultural and food sectors, mechanical engineering, and information technology.
