A meeting of the Belarusian-Lithuanian intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation took place in Vilnius as part of the 2nd Belarus-Lithuania Regional Cooperation Forum.
The participants of the meeting heard out Belarus’ position towards Belarus’ entry to the WTO, the country’s participation in integration processes in the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space as well as near-border cooperation development. The parties discussed cooperation within the EU’s initiative Eastern Partnership. The parties considered the issues of current importance for the Belarusian-Lithuanian relations, including cooperation in trade and economy, energy, transport and transit.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Guryanov. The Lithuanian delegation was headed by Vice Minister for Economics Kestutis Treciokas.
The participants of the meeting agreed on continuing contacts within the Belarusian-Lithuanian intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation.
