Belarus and Serbia are going beyond commodity trade and developing manufacturing cooperation, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov said at a business seminar and a business match-making session that were held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. “Today Belarus-Serbia cooperation is not just about trade that we constantly talk about in view of the free trade regime between our countries. It is the start of a new stage in manufacturing cooperation and implementation of new investment projects,” Mikhail Myatlikov said. He informed that Belarus is now considering a possibility to invest in the Serbian economy. New projects are coming. They will be implemented in Belarus using Serbian resources. According to the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, negotiations are underway to set up a factory producing juice in Belarus. “The chamber is ready to work this project through. The project is estimated at dozens of million dollars. The factory will use both Belarusian and Serbian raw materials and ship finished products to the Customs Union member states,” Mikhail Myatlikov said.
