The National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve Nesvizh became the most popular museum in Belarus in 2012 with 431,000 visits.

         The list of Belarus’ most popular museums features a memorial complex Brest Hero-Fortress, Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble, Mir Castle, National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, as well as Khatyn state memorial complex.
         Belarusian museums preserve and celebrate the traditional culture and promote cultural relations with other  states. Museums pay much attention to preservation, study and promotion of holdings that have a great cultural, historical, scientific and artistic value.
There were a total of over 3 million exhibits in Belarusian museums, up by 12.5% compared to 2005. There is a total of 162 museums in Belarus.
